Wine Review: This clear and pale golden straw-colored Chardonnay from V. Sattui opens with a gentle oak and pineapple bouquet with hints of tangerine and wet slate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, rich, and seamless. The flavor profile is a pineapple and oak blend with notes of vanilla and pear. We also detected hints of mango, ginger, and lime. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. Winemaker Notes: Grown in the cool, southern reaches of Napa Valley, this Chardonnay reflects its coastal influence and long growing season with balance and finesse. Pale golden hues shimmer in the glass with each swirl, introducing aromas of honeysuckle, brioche, and white flowers with subtle notes of cantaloupe. On the palate, creamy lemon and crisp apple unfold with a touch of French oak, creating a harmonious interplay of brightness and depth. Aged nine months in 59% new French oak and stirred on its lees for added texture, this wine offers a round, lingering finish, and an elegant touch of richness.
