Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from VGS opens with a black raspberry and cigar box bouquet with hints of violets, saddle leather, and Dr. Pepper. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is a cassis and graphite blend with notes of blackberry and black olive. We also detected hints of black licorice, clove, and George Howell Guatemalan coffee. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed dusty tannins are nicely extended. We would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with Roy's rib roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
