Wine Review: This deep garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from VGS opens with a rose petal, pine needled and dried strawberry bouquet with hints of eucalyptus and marzipan. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, layered, and flavor forward. The flavor profile is a cedar plank influenced lingonberry with notes of wintergreen and muddled mint. We also detected hints of cherry licorice, green olive, and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with Stuart’s beef wellington. Enjoy - KWGTP
