Wine Review: This dark red colored Tempranillo from Rioja opens with a new leather and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is an oak influenced raspberry with nicely integrated gentle minerality with a hint of sloe plum. The finish is dry and its mild flinty tannins and flavors linger nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Tempranillo with duck confit. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: 100% Tempranillo is fermented and patiently settled in cement before aging a minimum of 12 months in fine grained French oak, one-third new. A polished, tightly wound and elegant wine with refined floral/spice aromatics is supported by fine tannins for a silky texture, leading to a persistent finish of red berries and subtle oak. Blossoms with air and will age gracefully for years.
