Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Italian red opens with mild plum and black cherry bouquet with hints of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to enjoy. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry with notes of nicely integrated minerality and old oak. I also detected a hint of plum. The finish is dry and its mild tannins fade away nicely. This Italian red is very food friendly and would pair well with pork chops alla pizzaiola. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The color is ruby-red with purple reflections, taking on a garnet red rim and streaks when aged. The nose is strong and complex with scents of fruits and spices that follow through to the palate. It is elegant, balanced and smooth in the mouth, with good body and a long finish. Vallone Vigna Flaminio Brindisi Riserva is a great addition to any meal, especially those featuring red meats, game, poultry and hearty main course dishes like stews.
