Wine Review: This dark garnet Italian Primitivo from the Puglia region has a bouquet of pomegranate, clay, sawdust, spiced blueberry, and chocolate. It's easy-drinking, youthful, and balanced on the palate. It displays juicy plus acidity, a medium body, and a round and nimble mouthfeel. It has pomegranate, bramble, spiced plum, and soft oak flavors with notes of chocolate and licorice. Plush tannins and fruit linger in the finish. A nice weeknight bottle to serve with wood-fired oven pizza. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Bouquet: Intense fruity aromas of mature plums and cherry jam. Slightly aromatic with a finish of vanilla and cocoa.
Taste: Smooth and full of ripe tannins.
