Wine Review: Made from the Susumaniello grape, indigenous to the Puglia region of Italy, this pale copper colored Rose has bright red cherry, dried potpourri, wet flint, strawberry bubble gum and faint mandarin orange aromas. There's a velvety and lightly creamy mouthfeel on the palate, along with being medium bodied, moderately acidic, bright, and clean. It is balanced and easy to quickly pour a second glass. I found flavors of red cherry, lemon citrus, saline, and notes of strawberry white tea and chalk. The finish is dry, refreshing, and lively. Chilled, this would make a nice pool side sipper or serve with chilled shrimp cocktail. - Mark
