Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Barbera from Vietti is very good and will be a crowd pleaser. It opens with a mild blackberry bouquet with hints of old oak and cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a pleasant mild blackberry and graphite blend with notes of cherry. I also detected some hints of red plum, oak and nutmeg in the background. The finish is dry and its mild to moderate tannins are well-managed but do linger for a bit. This very good value Barbera is quite food friendly and would pair well with homemade three meat Bolognese lasagna. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Ruby purple color with ripe red cherry aromas with hints sweet spices. A dry, medium bodied red wine with refreshing acidity, the Barbera d'Asti Tre Vigne is well-balanced with good integration of oak, good complexity and a long finish of red cherries. Our Barbera would pair well with hearty soups, pasta, pork, and chicken with light sauces.
