Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Syrah based blend opens with a smoldering wood and black currant bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and rustic, yet round in the mouth feel. The flavor profile is a smoky oak infused black raspberry with notes of black pepper and a touch of black licorice and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its bold tannins are dusty and very sticky. The panel suggested that this wine would pair well with beef bourguignon or braised short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Sy-rée [se-rey] n. derived from Syrah and “cuvee” (blend). Dark ruby with ripe dark fruit aromas and notes of rosemary and mocha. A full-bodied blend with firm tannins and a long finish.
