Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark purple colored Grenache from Navarra Spain opens with dried cranberry and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, balanced, and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is red currant and plum blend with a touch of black pepper and mild oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are slightly prolonged. This wine would pair well with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Vina Zorzal Garnacha Vina Vieja is obtained from Garnacha vines in the villages of Fitero and Corella averaging 50 years old and more. Cherry red color with violet details. Intense, complex, aromas with subtle notes of mature red and dark fruit with spicy and mineral touches. Long, expansive and expressive flavors, with elegant, silky tannins and a marked terroir.
