Wine Review: The opaque and midnight purple colored Old Vine Grenache from Spain opens with a ripe black cherry bouquet with a hint of oak and coffee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused blackberry with notes of black plum and hints of oak and espresso. The finish is very dry and its fruit flavors and dusty tannins stick around for quite a long time. I would pair this wine with a ribeye steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Produced from heirloom Garnacha vines over 60 years old grown at high altitude on hillsides with predominantly slate soils. Aged four months in American oak barriques, the style is at once richly fruity yet mineral and dry, with a long and elegant finish.
