Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chenin Blanc from Vinum celebrates their 20th anniversary. This wine opens with a fragrant ripe Bosc pear and Honeydew melon bouquet. On the palate, this wine is a mineral influenced lime and green apple blend with hints of walnut and ginger. The finish fades away nicely. This Chenin is a crowd-pleasing quaffer for a hot summer night. I would pair it with linguine with clam sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The color of this wine is pale yellow with a glint of steely grey. The beautiful aromatics are tropical with passionfruit, green papaya and mango notes which reminisce nicely with subtle floral jasmine. The entry on the palate is crisp and intentionally acidic expressing juicy lemon citrus with key lime, honey and a snap of ginger. The texture on the finish contemplates minerality, wet stone and finishes perfectly dry, allowing for the snappy, refreshing acidity to be revisited. This Chenin Blanc pairs fantastically with many seafood selections, such as nigiri sushi and sashimi. It is perhaps my favorite as a cool summertime sipper by the pool.
