Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Chianti Classico opens with a black plum bouquet with hints of black cherry and red raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black cherry and black plum blend with notes of old oak. I also detected hints of coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger for quite some time. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with pasta with veal, sausage and porcini ragu. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Coltassala has a vivid ruby color. This is a well-structured, complex wine with an elegant nose and hints of vanilla, cacao and fruit.
