Wine Review: This slightly hazy and dark ruby colored Merlot from Whitehall Lane opens with a mulberry and cigar box bouquet with hints of black plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, zesty, and fresh. The flavor profile is a black cherry and cocoa blend with notes of spiced black plum and cedar. I also detected hints of mulberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and mild tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Merlot with roasted beets and pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
