Wine Review: This clear and light straw-colored Chardonnay from Whitehall Lane opens with a yellow peach and mild pineapple bouquet with hints of honey and almond paste. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, slightly creamy, and rich. The flavor profile is an oak influenced grilled pineapple and vanilla blend with notes of juicy mango and honeycomb. We also detected hints of dried coconut and peach. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would pair this Chard with chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a light cream sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Sonoma Stage Vineyard Dijon Clone Chardonnay from the Petaluma Gap AVA has attractive aromas of grilled yellow nectarines, lemon curd, baked apples, sweet lemongrass, butterscotch, fresh croissant, and hints of crushed limestone. It is built to be a full-bodied, rich, and sophisticated Chardonnay with a long, creamy finish. Its palate offers Golden Delicious apples, Bartlett pears, fresh baked biscuits, marzipan, and a roasted hazelnut finish. Enjoyable now and through 2035 with proper cellaring.
