Wine Review: This bright ruby colored Pinot Noir from Winderlea opens with a raspberry tea bouquet with a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, elegant and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle raspberry and red beet blend with notes pomegranate and minerality. I also detected hints of mild oak and cola in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Pinot is food friendly and shows nice finesse. It would pair well with lighter fare. I would pair with pan-roasted quail with bacon. Enjoy - Ken
