Wine Review: This pleasant dry-styled Riesling from the Rheinhessen region of German is a pale-yellow color with wet slate, green apple, and lime aromas. It's zippy plus acidity and medium body makes it fresh and balanced, with a good amount of fruit. I found flavors of flint, green apple, lime zest, and saline minerality with hints of peach and grapefruit. It is refined and refreshing, with a round mouthfeel. The finish is crisp and moderate in length. This value driven Riesling is food friendly and would go great with Chinese take-out. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: The entry-level "100 Hills" wines are produced from about 40% estate-harvested fruit, with the remainder sourced from other local growers who are certified organic by the European Union. Elegant with invigorating freshness of grapefruit and peach. Amazingly juicy and fresh with lively acidity and a fine minerality. An essential everyday Riesling to be enjoyed with seasonal salads, fresh vegetables, white meats, or fish.
