Wine Review: Although the current trend is leaning towards enjoying drier Riesling, there is something to be said by a well-balanced semi-sweet version. This is a medium-dry Riesling offers up notes of limestone, guava, nectarine, and baked apple. On the palate, the white guava and baked apples continue to have the main role. The mid-palate has plenty of minerality and lime to it offering up some much-needed acidity. There is a savoriness to this wine that could only be surmounted as freshly-picked basil. This would pair well with curry and a charcuterie board. – Nicolay

Winemaker Notes: This medium-dry wine captures the ethereal "floats like a butterfly" character of Zilliken Rieslings at an entry-level price. Bright and juicy, with moderate alcohol, this butterfly soars high on citrus and floral wings. Playful, tangy flavors of lime and granny smith apple are heightened with refreshing accents of lemon balm, with a zesty, zippy finish.
