Wine Review: This deep yellow colored Riesling from Alsace was a hit at dinner at Legal Sea Food in Boston. It opens with a fragrant and inviting honey and golden raisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, mainly dry and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty honey and ginger blend with notes of Anjou pear and nicely integrated gentle minerality and a touch of pineapple and white pepper that appears towards the end. The finish drifts away nicely. This Riesling is very food friendly and paired perfectly with my roasted halibut dinner. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Bright yellow color. Fruity aromas (white fruits, pears) are mixed with more toasty, rock dust scents. The wine hits the palate full on, delivering a silky-smooth texture where the ripe acidity brings salivation on the finish. It is a very enjoyable wine, delicate yet lasts a long time on the palate. The finish displays the presence of noble tannins. It can be enjoyed now, but it will still improve for many years.
