Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Malbec from Zuccardi is Excellent! It opens with a mild blackberry and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, savory and fruit forward. The flavor profile is complex, as it displays many layers of flavor. I found it principally features mineral influenced blackberry, black licorice, and cured meats along with hints of espresso, black olive and red plum sauce. The finish is dry and its moderate refined tannins make their presence known, but they do not get in the way. Fans of top notch Syrah would like this wine. It is very food friendly. I would pair this Malbec with Brazilian fire roasted beef alcatra. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Red color with violet hues. It expresses a great herbal character with notes of red fruits, strawberry, cherry and plum: which are complemented by distinctive mineral notes. In the mouth is prolonged and deep. A wine of grand structure and acidity.
