Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Malbec from Zuccardi opens with an inviting blueberry and pencil lead bouquet with hints of gentle raspberry, eucalyptus, clay, and oolong tea. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is beautifully balanced, very smooth, and refined. The flavor profile is a black plum and graphite blend with notes of gentle blueberry and tobacco. We also detected hints of oolong tea, cola, and chocolate along with a touch of orange peel. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine-grained medium tannins are polished and nicely sustained. This wine benefits from a little aeration. So, we would decant this impressive Malbec before pairing it with a filet mignon and beef carpaccio. Enjoy - KWGTP
