Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Malbec from Zuccardi is terrific! It opens with a shy black raspberry and stone dust bouquet with hints of kumquat peel, dark chocolate, pencil lead, violets, and a touch of prune. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is beautifully balanced, velvety smooth, polished, and seamless. The flavor profile is a very tasty blueberry and spiced black plum blend with notes of green tea and light tobacco. We also detected hints of stone dust, blackberry, graphite, and some muddled fresh mint. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins linger and last for a very long time. With food, we would pair this fantastic Malbec with a porterhouse steak. That said, we also could enjoy this as a solo sipper by the fireplace. Enjoy - KWGTP
