Wine Review: This pitch-black colored Malbec from Zuccardi opens with a shy gentle blackberry and violets bouquet with hints of blueberry, loam, and marionberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is beautifully balanced, silky smooth, and displays very nice tension. The flavor profile is a delicious, concentrated blackberry and stony minerality blend with notes of black tea and mocha. We also detected hints of chalky minerality, tobacco, and wild blueberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. We would decant or store youthful Malbec for a while. With food, we would pair this impressive Malbec with a Snake River Farms Waygu ribeye. Enjoy - KWGTP
