Wine Review: This clear and light gold colored Semillon from Zuccardi opens with an apple skin and quince bouquet with hints of peonies, hay, and pineapple. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, supple, and fresh. The flavor profile is a quince and Anjou pear blend with notes of grilled pineapple and green tea. We also detected hints of honey, almond, and bee’s wax. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. We would pair this Semillon with baked walleye with lemon garlic butter and herbs or with fish n’ chips. Enjoy - KWGTP
