Wine Review: This clear and brilliant white gold colored Chardonnay from Zuccardi is excellent! It opens with a green apple and gentle pineapple bouquet with hints of honeycomb, lychee, and jasmine. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, crisp, clean, and fresh. The flavor profile is a tasty lemon pith and flaky croissant blend with notes of Anjou pear and pineapple. We also detected hints of stony minerality, white grapefruit, and white tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. We would pair this versatile and very food friendly Chardonnay with Coquilles St. Jacques or with PEI oysters. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Interview Series - Mike Kobler of Kobler Estate Winery – July 2026

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, we had the opportunity to interview Mike Kobler. Mike is the winemaker at Kobler Estate Winery. During the interview, we covered two 2024 rosé wines, one made from Pinot Noir and one made from Syrah. We also covered a 2023 and a 2024 Viognier from the Russian River Valley. Those discussions were followed by a focus on a 2023 and a 2024 Chardonnay from the Bacigalupi Vineyards. We wrapped up the interview with a 2022 Syrah and a 2023 "Reserve" Syrah.
