Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sojourn opens with a black currant and licorice bouquet with hints of wintergreen, dark cherry, and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright, and fresh for a Cab. The flavor profile is a currant and tobacco blend with notes of oolong tea and red plum. We also detected hints of graphite, hibiscus tea, and lingonberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, mouthwatering acidity, and medium tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with a grilled veal chop or with braised rabbit. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Interview Series - Mike Kobler of Kobler Estate Winery – July 2026

On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, we had the opportunity to interview Mike Kobler. Mike is the winemaker at Kobler Estate Winery. During the interview, we covered two 2024 rosé wines, one made from Pinot Noir and one made from Syrah. We also covered a 2023 and a 2024 Viognier from the Russian River Valley.
