Wine Review: This clear and medium garnet colored Pinot Noir from Cristom opens with a shy dried strawberry and dark chocolate bouquet with hints of red raspberry, wet slate, and pine shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, silky smooth, and delicate. The flavor profile is an oak influenced wild strawberry and stony minerality blend with notes of black currant, rhubarb, and black pepper. We also detected hints of cranberry and raspberry tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and well-managed refined tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Oregon Pinot with roast pork loin and grilled portobello mushroom. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Floral and herbaceous notes of violets, dried sage, and sweet cherries mingle with raspberries, rhubarb, and the earthy depth of a redwood forest. Long textural tannins and fresh acidity lead to a well-rounded finish. Pair with herbed leg of lamb with olive butter and roasted tomatoes.
