Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a cassis and black cherry bouquet with hints of stone dust. On the palate this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well balanced, smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is a blackberry and black cherry blend with notes of spice, blueberry, and stone dust. I also detected hints of oak and tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Cab with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This lovely, ruby-red–hued 2023 Napa Cabernet showcases a vibrant and expressive nose, offering layers of red, blue, and black berries, dried herbs, and cherry wood, lifted by warm baking spice notes and a floral potpourri bouquet. As it unfolds, black cherry, red plum, red currant, and raspberry mingle with subtler tones of almond skin and walnut husk. The palate leans savory, showing a graceful balance of earthiness and toasty oak, with a lovely thread of complexity throughout. Smooth tannins with a slight grip give the wine structure without heaviness. As it moves to the finish, a perfumed wave of violet, dark plum, black licorice, and blackberry emerges, accented by a touch of black pepper spice. The finish is long and savory, with lingering notes of forest floor, fresh mushrooms, and subtle earthiness. A hint of vanilla spice, cardamom and mouthwatering minerality adds lift, inviting you to sip and repeat.
