Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from AXR opens with a pencil lead and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and very approachable. The flavor profile is a black cherry and tobacco blend with notes of graphite, chocolate, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate refined tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this Cab with a filet mignon in the near term. Enjoy - Ken & Dave

Winemaker Notes: Deep dark cherry with touches of magenta and Ferrari red on the rim. The nose shows beautiful spice like thyme, rosemary, cedar, peaches, plums, bubble bath, chocolate, black truffle, and pine needle, dark honey. The palate has a round dense entrance evolving on a velvety fruity palate lingering on freshness of tannins with touches of Mirabelle plum, red apple pie, pears, & mocha.
