Wine Review: This clear and pale pink with a tinge of coral colored Zinfandel based Rosé from Pedroncelli opens with a maraschino cherry, ruby grapefruit, and spice bouquet with hints of watermelon and lime. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, fresh, and zesty. The flavor profile is a stony minerality, light grapefruit, and strawberry blend with notes of white pepper and lime. I also detected hints of saline and white nectarine. Its flavors and acidity drift away nicely on the finish. I would chill this Rosé before quaffing down on the beach this summer. With food, I would pair it with shrimp scampi. It will not last long. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: A beautiful wine! The fresh aromas and flavors of rose petals, strawberries and watermelon are framed by a bright and refreshing acidity. It is nicely balanced with round and fresh fruit flavors accented by crisp and clean finish. Our Rosé is made to be enjoyed upon release.

Winemaker Interview Series – Brian Pruett – Dry Creek Vineyard – Feb 2026

On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, we interviewed Brian Pruett. Brian is the winemaker at Dry Creek Vineyard. We covered eight wines during the visit. We started with Chenin Blanc and a single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, both from the 2024 vintage. Then we tried three single-vineyard and one historic-field-blend Zinfandel from the 2022 vintage. As you will recall, we really liked 2022 as a Zinfandel vintage. Finally, we wrapped up with their 2021 Red Blend and their flagship Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2022 vintage. It was a great tasting and a lot of fun. In this post, you can learn what we learned about Brian and the history of the winery and read our reviews of all of these impressive wines.
