Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based red blend from Ambassador is unique. It opens with an acai berry and stony minerality bouquet with hints of cedar and craisin. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, very fresh, and zesty. The flavor profile is a five spice, slightly tart red cherry, and acai berry blend with notes of cedar plank and cranberry. I also detected hints of pomegranate and stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate tannins linger for a bit. This wine benefits from a little decanting. After a little while of breathing, I would pair this Cab blend with cherry amaretto chicken. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Brilliant ruby red color. Clean vinous cherry, with pomegranate and a touch of caramel. Bright toffee/coffee notes, roasted pecans, with tart almond and pistachio.
