Wine Review: This clear and dark red colored Merlot based wine from Grand Mayne opens with a plum and mild raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is a mild cherry and stony minerality blend with notes of cedar and espresso. I also detected hints of licorice, chocolate, and raspberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and polished tannins are nicely extended. This wine paired well with Stuart's rib roast. Enjoy - Ken
