Wine Review: This slightly hazy and white gold colored Chardonnay from Paul Hobbs opens with a pineapple and apricot bouquet with hints of mango, honeysuckle, and lemon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, slightly viscous, and a bit zesty. The flavor profile is a pineapple and poached Bartlett pear blend with notes of apricot and oak. We also detected hints of cantaloupe, spice drop, mango, and orange zest. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are very nicely extended. We would pair this Chard with crab chowder or with a crab cake. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The wine shows an opalescent pale straw color with a slight green tint. Aromas of Golden Delicious apple and white peach blossom emerge with notes of honeysuckle and crushed oyster shell. Meyer lemon notes provide a succulent freshness, while crushed rock and crunchy sea salt minerality create tension. A mouth-filling creaminess through the mid-palate culminates in a long, fresh finish.
