Wine Review: This clear and light-yellow colored Grenache Blanc based white blend from Tablas Creek opens with a Meyer lemon and beeswax, and bouquet with hints of Anjou pear and wet stone. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, zesty and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is an Anjou pear and chamomile tea blend with notes of honeycomb and Meyer lemon. I also detected hints of white peach, grapefruit pith, and saline. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this white blend with a swordfish sandwich at the beach this summer. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A plush nose equally balanced between Grenache Blanc and Viognier: apricot and ripe pear, oyster shell minerality, and a little pithy note. On the palate, white grapefruit and Honeycrisp apple, anise, chamomile, orange oil, and a chalky mineral note on the finish. Lovely acids.
