Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Petit Verdot from King Family opens with a mild black cherry and lilac bouquet with hints of plum and teaberry gum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a gentle black cherry and blueberry blend with notes of cinnamon and blackberry. I also detected hints of red licorice and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and its moderate tannins linger nicely. I would pair this Petit Verdot with beef bourguignon. Enjoy - Ken
