Wine Review: This slightly hazy and ruby colored Pinot Noir from Paul Hobbs opens with a black raspberry and cedar bouquet with hints of cranberry and strawberry licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is a stewed black plum and loam blend with notes of toasted cedar, rosemary, and black cherry. We also detected hints of light black tea and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined tannins drift away nicely. We would pair this food friendly and versatile Pinot with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This wine displays a radiant ruby-red hue. Fragrant aromas of gooseberry and raspberry intertwine harmoniously with warming hints of allspice, nutmeg, and ginger. Cranberry and a touch of vanilla evoke whispers of autumn, while accents of thyme, dried rosemary, and flint lend an intriguing savory depth. Fresh and lifted, this wine glides effortlessly across the palate with a silky mouthfeel and persistent finish.
