Wine Review: This slightly hazy and yellow gold colored Chardonnay from Paul Hobbs opens with a gentle lemon and nectarine bouquet with hints of pineapple and lime. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, seamless, and fresh. The flavor profile is a pear, oak, and pineapple blend with notes of chalky minerality, lime zest, and herbal tea. We also detected hints of spice, mango, and caramel. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. We would pair this Chard with chicken francese or with broiled scallops with a lemon butter sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The wine displays a luminous pale straw hue. Vibrant aromas of Bartlett pear and crisp Granny Smith apple are enhanced by white florals, fresh hay, and a slight note of toasted nuts. On the palate, zesty Meyer lemon leads into a racy, mineral-driven core, balanced by a silky touch of brioche. The structured mid-palate expands gracefully, culminating in a bright, refreshing finish.
