Wine Review: This clear and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Lasseter opens with a blackberry and mild leather bouquet with hints of loam, black currant, and stone dust. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, velvety, seamless, and fresh. The flavor profile is a blackberry, black olive, and black licorice blend with notes of cassis and graphite. We also detected hints of black pepper, molasses, and black coffee. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed moderate dusty tannins are very lengthy. We would decant this Cab for a bit, before pairing it with New York strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
