Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Chappellet opens with a black currant and espresso bouquet with hints of tobacco, sage, and plum. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and had nice tension. The flavor profile is a graphite and plum blend with notes of espresso and currant. We also detected hints of blackberry and orange peel. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and medium sticky tannins linger and last for quite some time. We would pair this red blend with a grilled hanger steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
