Wine Review: This clear and medium garnet colored Pinot Noir from Gros Ventre opens with an inviting lingonberry and lavender bouquet with hints of cranberry, violets, and five spice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, super smooth, plush, and seamless. The flavor profile is layered, featuring spiced red plum and menthol blend with notes of cinnamon, green tea, and blood orange. We also detected hints of chalky minerality, red cherry licorice, and nutmeg. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and very fine light tannins fade away nicely. This excellent Pinot can certainly be enjoyed on its own. With food, we would pair it with an herb encrusted rack of lamb. Enjoy - KWGTP
