Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Patz & Hall opens with a black cherry, sandalwood, and cinnamon bouquet with hints of oak and lilac. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, seamless and opulent. The flavor profile is a complex blend of black raspberry and spiced black plum with notes of red licorice, oak, and clove. We also detected hints of black pepper, black tea, black pepper, and touch of kumquat. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and well-managed medium tannins are nicely sustained. We would pair this Pinot with a grilled teriyaki salmon or a cassoulet de Toulouse. Enjoy - KWGTP
