Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Chappellet is a Wow wine! It opens with a blackberry and tobacco bouquet with hints of oak, blueberry, sage, and coffee. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with wonderfully integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is superbly balanced, polished, and graceful. The flavor profile is layered. It starts with a graphite and cassis blend with notes of tobacco and oolong tea. We also detected hints of sage, dark chocolate, licorice, and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and refined tannins build-up nicely and stick around for a very long time. We would suggest that you enjoy this incredible Cabernet Sauvignon on its own with your wine loving friends. With food, we would pair this gem with a porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
