Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Amici opens with a devil’s food cake and pencil shavings bouquet with hints of blueberry and Good n’ Plenty. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, silky smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a cassis and gentle graphite blend with notes of blackberry and spice. We also detected hints of black tea, cocoa, and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and its moderate well-managed tannins build-up nicely and stick around for quite some time. We would pair this Cab with porterhouse steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2023 Amici Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon opens with layered aromas of dark red fruit, cassis, lavender, cocoa powder, and Madagascar vanilla. On the palate, ripe blueberry and baker’s chocolate unfold against a backdrop of full body and great acidity. The wine is defined by lush, expansive tannins that provide structure and length, promising exceptional aging potential.
