Wine Review: This clear and light brass colored Chardonnay from Kale opens with a mild funky oak and tangerine bouquet with hints of apple skin and green melon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, delicate, and bright. The flavor profile is a gentle pineapple and Anjou pear blend with notes of oak and butterscotch. We also detected hints of chalky minerality, almond, and mushrooms. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity stick around for a bit. We would pair this Chard with a chilled crab cocktail or seared scallop risotto. Enjoy – KWGTP.

Winemaker Notes: This wine starts with a unique waxy character. On the palate, it reveals layers of pear, a hint of peppery spice, and the delicate aroma of jasmine tea, complemented by the zesty notes of grapefruit. It's marked by a bright acidity and a smooth texture, offering a subtle blend of umami and saltiness. The wine finishes with fresh minerality and should age gracefully for years.
