Wine Review: This slightly hazy and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Patz & Hall is a richer style of Pinot. It opens with a very fragrant pomegranate and cranberry bouquet with hints of wet stone and ripe raspberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, zesty, rich, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is an extracted black raspberry and pomegranate blend with notes of clove and strawberry licorice. I also detected hints of tart red cherry, stony minerality, and baking spices. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and fine tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this fruity Pinot Noir with a brown sugar glazed salmon. Enjoy – Ken
