Wine Review: This clear and pale hay colored Roussanne from Ken Forrester in South Africa is very good. It opens with a pleasant and inviting muskmelon and gardinia bouquet with hints of almond and lanolin with a touch of ginger. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, slightly creamy, delicate, and seamless. The flavor profile is a tasty green apple and Anjou pear blend with notes of muskmelon, saline, and chalky minerality. We also detected hints of candied ginger and lime. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger nicely. We would pair this impressive Roussanne with crab bisque. Enjoy - Ken & Mark
