Wine Review: This clear and medium red colored Pinot Noir from Calera opens with a mild wintergreen and strawberry bouquet with hints of gentle dried herbs, mulberry, and cigar box. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, refined, polished, and elegant. The flavor profile is a graphite and dried strawberry blend with notes of black raspberry jam and chalky minerality. We also detected hints of oolong tea and oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and very fine dusty tannins fade away nicely. We would pair this Pinot with herb crusted rack of lamb or on its own. Enjoy - KWGTP
