Wine Review: This clear and medium gold colored Pecorino based white blend from Torre Zambra opens with a Bartlett pear and lemon bouquet with hints of lime zest and saline. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, slightly viscous, and very fresh! The flavor profile is a white peach and apricot blend with notes of saline and quince. I also detected hints of grated ginger, lemon, and lime zest. On the finish, its flavors and acidity linger and last for quite a long time. I would pair this zesty Italian white wine with fettuccine alfredo. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Pecorino, Passerina, and Trebbiano, the three most iconic white grape varieties of Abruzzo, all brought together in a single wine. The perfect blend that showcases the organoleptic complexity of Pecorino alongside the freshness of Passerina and Trebbiano. INCASTRO BIANCO is the wine that satisfies every palate. In the glass, it appears as a light straw yellow. On the nose, it impresses with an intense fruity bouquet featuring tropical notes of pineapple and passion fruit, along with hints of white flowers and mint. On the palate, it is fresh, fairly persistent, and perfectly balanced, with a pleasant touch of exotic fruits. INCASTRO BIANCO pairs easily with a wide range of dishes, such as fish and vegetable-based meals, and is a foolproof choice as an aperitif.

Winemaker Interview Series - Jason Moulton and Katie Leonardini of Whitehall Lane - May 2026

On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, we had the opportunity to interview Jason Moulton and Katie Leonardini. Jason is the winemaker at Whitehall Lane and Katie is the Managing Family Member. During the interview, we covered two white wines: a 2023 Sauvignon Blanc and a 2023 Chardonnay. On the red side, we covered a 2023 Pinot Noir and a 2024 Pinot Noir. For the second half of the tasting, we covered four Cabernet Sauvignon wines: the winery’s 2021 Napa Valley offering, two 2022 single-vineyard offerings, and, wrapping up the tasting, a very limited Cab from the 2023 vintage.
