Wine Review: This hazy and dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Limerick Lane opens with a black cherry and blackberry bouquet with hints of black pepper, gentle cassis, and dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a loganberry, kitchen spice, and red licorice blend with notes of stone dust and black pepper. We also detected hints of black tea, tea, cassis, and clove. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and well-managed dusty tannins build up nicely. We would pair this Zin with sausage stuffed mushrooms or a hearty beef stew. Enjoy - KWGTP
