Wine Review: This almost clear colored iced wine from Lamoreaux Landing is excellent! It opens with a faint white grapefruit bouquet with hints of orange zest. On the palate this wine is full bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and smooth. The flavor profile is a lime and green apple blend with notes of nectarine and ripe pineapple. We also detected hints of chalky minerality and lemon. The finish is drifts away nicely. We all enjoyed this dessert wine with Stuart’s homemade apple crisp. Enjoy - KWGTP

A Visit To Virginia Wine Country – Fall 2026

The fall is a perfect time to plan a visit to Virginia Wine country. Ken and the KWG Tasting Panel have been covering the winning wines from the Virginia Governor’s Cup for years. Recently, our coverage has expanded beyond just the Governor’s Cup winners.
