Wine Review: This clear and light-yellow colored Sauvignon Blanc from Merriam opens with a mild lemon and green apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, seamless and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is green tea and lemon verbena blend with notes of gentle oak and Granny Smith apple. I also detected a touch of vanilla in the background. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with crab cakes. Enjoy - Ken
